This has been an on going issue since i can remember but on "most" cold days my car will not start, sometimes it cranks and fires but then dies right away then the next time i turn the key it does nothing!! no click or anything, i still have power all accesories work etc,,, but no start if i wait 2=3=5=7=20 mins (no specfic time till it goes again) it will then crank again or it will just not do anything,, eventually (sometimes an hour later) it will start and everything is fine,, My friend said possibly its something to do with a neutral saftey switch or something and to try starting it in neutral but still does the same thing,,, it maybe the security system as it seems setting the alarm and waiting will get it to start sooner than if i just sit without setting the alarm. Ok so am i crazy?? any one else have this problem or had it and fixed it??

Next on the list is the whiney old CVT hunka junk trans that by the way is now the 3rd trans in this car after two rebuilds didnt work Saturn finally replaced it with a new trans,, everything was fine for awhiule after this trans was installed but it has now been whining again for a long time, ive grown used to it and it doesnt feel like its slipping or anything, My gas mileage is good sometimes even getting around 33mpg on the hiway. My neighbor asked me last week what i did to the car that it sounds like a Jet. Some have said it sounds like i have a souped up turbo on it and most have said dang man sounds like a bad power steering problem you got there LOL. My guess (maybe a ruff one) is the pump in the trans making noise) I dont have the $ to have this trans fixed again (last one cost me money out of my pocket) it was brand new 20,000 miles or so ago,, saturn warranty is 12,000 miles grrrrrr!! Is there away to check the trans fluid or add more? maybe its low? It is a sealed system right? Ok so anyone have any tips. answers or similar issues??
Thanks
